Catholic Charities Senior Transportation Services serves Stanislaus county residents age 60 and older who need assistance with transportation. The Catholic Charities transportation service is especially helpful for those who live in rural areas not served by public transit, or who do not live in the same community as their medical provider. Our service includes identifying the most appropriate transportation system to meet the need.
Volunteer and paid drivers assist clients with door to door service. Rides are provided in Catholic Charities vans or private vehicles. One of our vans is equipped with a wheelchair lift for clients who are unable to transfer. Rides are scheduled at least one week in advance.
The transportation program is funded through grants, contracts, and donations. Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended, Catholic Charities does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin.
While medical appointments are a first priority, we also assist seniors who require rides for other purposes. If we are not able to assist, we may be able to locate other community resources that can. While there is no set fee for rides, donations are always welcomed.
Transportation services are offered in a protected, caring and dependable environment. With this in mind, we encourage your inquiry concerning your transportation needs.
