Homemaker and Chore Services

Homemaker and Chore Services

The Homemaker Program provides household support in the assistance of daily living for San Joaquin and Stanislaus County senior citizens. These activities include light housework, shopping, using the telephone, preparing meals, managing finances, organizing paperwork and managing medications.

Services support the primary or informal caregiver of the elderly to keep their love ones at home.

Priority is given to seniors who are at risk of losing their independence, frail or disabled either permanently or temporarily, those who are isolated, persons 60 years or older and those of low income.

This service is for dependent seniors who are at least 60 years old and living in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties. The caregiver is the person that the senior lives with and provides care. A primary caregiver in this program could be a family member or a non-relative of the senior. The caregiver does not have to be a senior.

For more information on how to access this service, contact: (209) 444-5924 for San Joaquin or (209) 529-3784 for Stanislaus.
