CATHOLIC CHARITIES -DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking a Full-Time Director of Programs in our Stanislaus Office. The Director of Programs (DP) provides supervision, oversight and management of all program areas within Catholic Charities, either directly or through a program manager.  The DP ensures that clients receive the maximum benefit from programs by developing and managing those program resources in accordance with Catholic Charities’ stated mission, vision, purpose, and policies.

The DP promotes a safe, comfortable and accepting environment for clients, staff, and volunteers, and develops and retains a successful, high-performing staff through training and effective supervision.  The DP provides leadership as well as oversight of the performance and quality improvement processes for services. This Director is a member of the Executive Management Team.

Position requires Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, social work, human services, or a related field required; master's degree preferred. Five years’ experience in organizational management or leadership skills is highly desirable. THE HOMECOMING PROGRAM -TRANSITIONAL CARE SPECIALIST

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking to fill a Full-Time Transitional Care Specialist (TCS) position.  The TCS will provide adults, seniors, and their caregivers with referrals to social services; and coordinate transportation, medication delivery and in-home care services to avoid re-hospitalization after a discharge from the hospital.  The TCS must have strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English, and knowledge of resources in the Tracy communities.  This position requires a valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.  Qualifications include: A Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology or social work or a minimum of two years’ experience in case management with adults and/or seniors. FAMILY WELLNESS -PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION (PEI) PROGRAM -PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking to fill a full-time Counseling PEI Program Assistant position in Stanislaus County. FAMILY WELLNESS -PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION (PEI) PROGRAM -PROGRAM MANAGER

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking a full-time Family Counseling Services Program Manager. The Family Wellness PEI Program provides short-term counseling services to low income individuals and promotes stigma reduction in accessing mental health services. The program reaches the target population through Parish outreach and increases clinical access by utilizing Interns, Trainees, and volunteer Therapists. The Program Manager oversees the clinical counseling services, including the supervision of supportive staff and the coordination of clinical interns and licensed staff within the program.The position oversees the program budget, clinical record maintenance in accordance with the Board of Behavioral Science and Catholic Charities Policies and Procedures and participates in collecting pertinent statistical outcome data and submitting reports to the various funding sources. Must have administrative/supervisory experience, candidate must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish or other language) with strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. We are seeking an individual with an MSW or MFT degree or a minimum of 5 years work experience in a related field. TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM -PROGRAM ASSISTANT 

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton has an immediate opening in Modesto for a Part-time (20 hours) Transportation Program Assistant.  This position includes administrative duties, data entry tasks, customer service, and driving older adults.  In addition it requires treating older adults with patience, understanding and compassion.  Under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, this position requires conducting initial intake and screening of applicants, completing the intake and application process, assisting with driving clients when needed and general office support.   This position requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment, time management, and initiative. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel and general internet use required.  Must have reliable transportation and valid California Driver’s License.  Bilingual, English-Spanish preferred.

PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM -CHILDCARE

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton Parent Support program is seeking a motivated individual to provide Childcare services at various locations throughout San Joaquin County. The Parent support program offers childcare services to parents who have children under the age of 11. This position is part- time, maximum of 8 hours per week. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children (5 to 11 years of age).
  • Be dependable, have good communication skills, and have excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Must complete criminal background check and child sexual abuse prevention trainings before beginning work.

ESL/CIVICS TEACHER POSITION

Catholic Charities ESL/CIVICS program is seeking to hire a part time ESL/Civics teacher to provide class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00- 9:00 PM at Mark Twain Jr. High School, 707 Emerald Ave, Modesto CA.

The Incumbent is to teach and prepare Lawful Permanent Legal Residents for the Civics (US History and Government) and English (Reading, Writing and Speaking) components of the Naturalization Exam.  Must have a valid California Teacher's Certificate in English as a Second Language and/or experience with teaching ELL.  Catholic Charities will provide curriculum.
