Catholic Charities Nutrition Assistance Services has a part-time opening for a Nutrition Educator in the Stockton office. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of nutrition as it relates to low-income populations and food insecurity. The position will require the Educator to work 20 hours per week, and may include occasional evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in facilitating workshops, excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills. Must be fluent in both Spanish and English, and be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point. Must possess a valid California Driver's license and be cleared through a fingerprinting and background check.

This position provides outreach activities to increase awareness of CalFresh benefits in San Joaquin County, in both English and Spanish. IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES -ESL/NATZ COORDINATOR 

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton has an immediate opening for a full-time ESL / Naturalization Program Coordinator. This position is funded by a federal grant requiring the operation of a Naturalization program in Stockton and Modesto. Coordinator will work at both sites weekly totaling 40 hours. Stockton school is M &W 5:30 – 9:00 pm, Modesto School is T & TH 5:30-9:00 pm and all other hours worked at Stockton Office. Coordinator is responsible for daily operation of Naturalization program. Duties include but not limited to; providing intake and revision of enrollment for each student, ensure each student file is updated with documents, test scores and level of class, preparing sign-in for attendance of Instructors/Teachers and students. Will work closely with and report to Immigration Program Manager. Applicant will possess 2 yrs. of office experience, be proficient in Microsoft programs, must speak Spanish, ability to work independently and on a team, and demonstrated willingness to take initiative while juggling several priorities all with enthusiasm and optimism. MULTIPURPOSE SENIOR SERVICES PROGRAM - NURSE CARE MANAGER

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton has an immediate opening for a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Multi-Purpose Senior Services Program. The RN is responsible for evaluating and determining client eligibility, conducts assessments involving health and mental concerns of seniors, determines and certifies level of care plans, works closely with social worker case managers, Clinical Supervisor, physicians and other health care professionals, monitors client needs and care-plans, conducts home visits, records case records and conducts case audits. Must possess current CA RN License, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, experience working with seniors, have valid CA Driver’s License, CPR and First Aid certified, able to pass Live Scan (FBI and DOJ) and be computer literate (Word and Excel). FAMILY WELLNESS -PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION (PEI) PROGRAM -PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking to fill a full-time Counseling PEI Program Assistant position in Stanislaus County. The Program Assistant will conduct client intake, and assist in the coordination of clinical and licensed staff within the program.  The program assistant provides administrative support to the Program Manager for  connecting with parishes, community and government agencies to provide effective prevention and early intervention counseling services . The program assistant must have strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English, and knowledge in mental health community resources. This position requires a valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Qualifications include: A Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology or social work or a minimum two years work experience in a related field

PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM -CHILDCARE

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton Parent Support program is seeking a motivated individual to provide Childcare services at various locations throughout San Joaquin County. The Parent support program offers childcare services to parents who have children under the age of 11. This position is part- time, maximum of 8 hours per week. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children (5 to 11 years of age).
  • Be dependable, have good communication skills, and have excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Must complete criminal background check and child sexual abuse prevention trainings before beginning work.

ESL/CIVICS TEACHER POSITION

Catholic Charities ESL/CIVICS program is seeking to hire a part time ESL/Civics teacher to provide class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00- 9:00 PM at Mark Twain Jr. High School, 707 Emerald Ave, Modesto CA.
