Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking a Full-Time Director of Programs to be located in our Stanislaus Office.

The Director of Programs (DP) provides support and supervision for Program Managers, and management of all program areas within Catholic Charities.  The DP ensures that clients receive the maximum benefit from programs by developing and managing those program resources in accordance with Catholic Charities’ stated mission, vision, purpose, and policies.

The DP promotes a safe, effective and accepting environment for clients, staff, and volunteers, and develops and retains a successful, high-performing staff through training and supportive supervision.  The DP provides leadership as well as oversight of the performance and quality improvement processes for services. This Director is a member of the Executive Management Team.

Position requires Bachelors’ degree in non-profit management, social work, human services, or a related field required; masters’ degree preferred. Five years’ experience in organizational management or leadership skills is highly desirable.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton has an immediate opening for a part-time (29 hours per week), front desk receptionist. This position is responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and clerical support to the organization.

Catholic Charities Nutrition Assistance Services has a part-time opening for a Nutrition Educator in the Modesto office. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of nutrition as it relates to low-income populations and food insecurity. The position will require the Educator to work 29 hours per week, and may include occasional evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in facilitating workshops, excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills. Must be fluent in both Spanish and English, and be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point. Must possess a valid California Driver's license and be cleared through a fingerprinting and background check.

Catholic Charities Diocese of Stockton is seeking to fill a full-time Environmental Justice Program Coordinator position for San Joaquin County. The Program Coordinator (PC) will work closely with the EJ Manager to implement the goals of the Program, building relationships with local parishes, especially Latino parishioners and Social Justice Ministry Committees. The PC will also develop leaders and provide presentations and training on environmental justice issues, develop and implement parish programs and resources to promote the Papal Encyclical, Laudato Si, promote and expand solar partnerships, help to organize and promote events as needed. Desired qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communication, environmental studies, education, religious students or related field, excellent oral and written skills, demonstrated success in community or parish outreach, program development, and program implementation, knowledge of current environmental issues, understanding of and commitment to Catholic Social Teaching and the mission of Catholic Charities, willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, driver’s license and automobile to drive as needed. This position provides outreach activities to increase awareness of CalFresh benefits in Stanislaus County, in both English and Spanish. The position will require the incumbent to work 29 hours per week, and may include occasional evenings and weekends. Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton has an immediate opening in the Stockton office for a Part-time (20 hours) Transportation Program Driver.  This position requires driving and assisting vulnerable elders to non-emergency medical appointments and grocery shopping in San Joaquin County.  Assistance with walkers, wheel-chairs, and groceries is also required.  In addition, it requires treating older adults with patience, understanding and compassion.  This position requires the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, time management, and excellent customer service.  Must have reliable transportation and valid California Driver’s License.  Bilingual, English-Spanish preferred, but not required.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking to fill a full-time MSSP Supervising Care Manager position.  Under the direction of the Site Director, the SCM is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and implementing the principles and techniques employed in a comprehensive care management model for the frail elderly.  The SCM position combines both administrative duties and clinical supervision responsibilities.  Requirements include: A Master’s degree in social work, nursing, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation, gerontology, or sociology.  Minimum of one year Supervisory experience. Minimum of two years’ experience working with the aging population (65 years and above). Minimum of one year care management experience. Knowledge of services available to seniors in the community. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Must be able to occasionally work non-traditional hours, overtime, and travel as needed for trainings and conferences.
